Four Hour Workshop

Cost – £70 per person

In this 4 hour workshop you will learn a very accessible hand-building technique and be taught how to throw on the potter’s wheel

The workshop can accommodate a maximum of 4 students and is ideal for family groups with children over the age of 11

Once everyone has begun working on their hand-building projects, the group will be split into two. One group will continue hand-building while the other will move onto the potter’s wheels. The two groups will then swap, with the aim for everyone to end the class with a hand-built piece and a wheel thrown pot. Please be prepared for a few disasters before you get to grips fully with the potter’s wheel. It’s perfectly normal for beginners and all part of the learning process

You will keep your hand-built piece and your best thrown pot from the session. You’ll decorate your hand-built piece using a wide selection of brush-on glaze colours and for your thrown piece, there will be the opportunity to choose a glaze from the select range of studio dipping glazes. Once your pots have completed their firings and are ready for collection you will be notified by email, approximately 6 to 8 weeks later

The price includes the cost of all materials used during the session.

Please feel free to bring your own apron, although they can be provided. Please wear old clothes and shoes!
