Cost – £220 per person
This course is suitable for both beginners and those that already have some experience of working with clay.
Allowing more time for creative experimentation, not only with form but with decorative finishes and glazing, this six week course will give you the opportunity to deepen your knowledge of working with clay.
The classes have been kept small to allow you to develop your practice in an intimate and enriching environment and cater for a maximum of three students. You will learn hand-building techniques and how to throw on the potter’s wheel. The course will be project led, but you will be encouraged to develop upon the examples given and techniques taught to explore your own personal creativity and ideas.
You will have access to a selection of dipping glazes and also to the extensive range of studio brush-on glazes. You will not be limited to the amount of pieces you choose to fire during this course, but there will be an additional charge of £5 per kilo of clay fired (as an example, an average sized mug weighs approximately 400g)
Aprons are provided. Please wear old clothes and shoes.
